Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string (hash) created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After comment approval, your profile picture is visible with your comment.
Media
If you upload images, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from images.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to save your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These last for one year.
We use a temporary cookie on the login page to check browser cookie support. This cookie contains no personal data.
Login cookies last two days; “Remember Me” extends this to two weeks. Screen option cookies last a year.
When editing/publishing an article, an additional cookie (post ID) is stored for one day.
Embedded Content
Articles may include embedded content (videos, images, etc.) from other websites. This content behaves as if you visited those sites. They may collect data, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content.

If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and metadata are stored indefinitely.
Registered users (if any) can see, edit, or delete their personal information anytime (except usernames). Admins can also see and edit this information.

If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an export of the personal data we hold, or request deletion. This does not include data we are required to keep for legal or security reasons.
